Franck Sorbier SS 2025

Rocío Alcántara

Franck Sorbier’s barbarian symphony

Sorbier, couturier and alchemist, presents a collection that has become an ode to the wild, in which brute force and refined beauty walk hand in hand to write elegance in capital letters.

For the coming season, Franck Sorbier is opting for a style based on traditional craftsmanship, combined to perfection with the most innovative techniques, to give shape to creations that reveal the animal that lives inside us.

Sorbier invites us to let ourselves be seduced by the essence of barbarians, the clear inspiration for a collection that pays tribute to the legendary conquests of a people with a rich history.

As such, the French designer dreams of a woman who faces the new season wrapped in haute couture pieces in which opposing forces merge: irregular, raw edges meet delicate, meticulous embroidery; textures clash with futuristic metallic sheens.

Everything is possible in the collection signed by a Sorbier who longs for a woman who imposes rather than whispers, who lives life with passion and who, within the violence of the materials that reigns in each of the combinations that give shape to the collection, finds a single motivation: to create.

Each piece in the collection designed by Franck Sorbier is a suit of armour in itself.

A suit of armour designed for women who want to become true Warriors for peace. They are women who will be able to choose, to rise as such, between tunics of fragmented jacquard, dotted with golden threads as if they were ancient parchments; black gauze like shadows on perfectly arranged organza; or draped tunics, embroidered with centuries-old guipure lace, which seek to pay homage to warriors with a strength that transcended weapons.

Among this range of metallic tones and deep blacks typical of medieval times, peace.

A peace that finds its maximum expression in the lightness of some of the pieces in the collection: bodices of vaporous silk intertwined with organza and feathers, or satin with embroidered olive branches, a universal symbol of reconciliation.

Franck Sorbier seeks with his new collection to establish the evident historical dichotomy between war and peace through, in his case, a collection full of poetry and philosophy.

Once again, the designer relies on haute couture to tell stories, stories that, in this case, are not limited to fabrics and shapes, but evoke resilience, history, and the eternal tension between chaos and order.

A collection that seeks to show that, in the midst of all the turmoil that we experience daily in the 21st century, peace is the ultimate victory.
