Chanel, a love letter to Deauville
Chanel pays tribute to its origins in the upcoming autumn-winter 2025 collection.
A collection that looks to Deauville for its purest essence to capture the attention of anyone who, in the coming months, comes across a creation by the French maison.
It was 1913 when Coco Chanel chose the Norman town of Deauville to open her first store. More than a century later, Virginie Viard, creative director of the brand, invites us to travel to that very spot to let us fall in love with the new Chanel collection.
A collection full of relaxed looks with a French touch and maxi hats that will leave no one indifferent.
To speak of Chanel is to speak of the maison in capital letters: a true delight for the senses of those who love the fascinating world of haute couture.
Chanel belongs to that world in its own right, which, despite the passage of time, still has much to do and to say.
For the upcoming autumn-winter 2025 season, Chanel invites us to imbibe its most essential, but also its most renewed spirit.
Before us opens a collection full of details replete with majesty in which outerwear will have a more than prominent place. Maxi cuts, body-hugging models, pelisses…
All with a repeating pattern, in which the shoulders are rounded and the waists are toned down and refined.
Chanel recovers its purest essence in a collection in which Virginie Viard returns to rely on the nautical striped shirts, tweeds, or knits that marked the beginning of a bold and simple style that, over the years, has become a true icon that will endure through the ages.
A fashion icon that the maison’s creative director has chosen as inspiration for all the creations with which the woman of the coming season will dress up her most inspiring days.
It is an icon that also gives way to new airs that find in denim its best ally.
So, the legendary tweed signature of Chanel makes room for denim, which is not only presented in traditional jeans, but takes over overshirts, vests, or culottes that, at the same time, are combined with garments typical of the deepest winter, such as knitted sweaters, tricot jackets, and long coats that take on the tie-dye effect.
Undoubtedly, a tribute to the denim universe that does not walk alone. Along with denim, double-faced leather, mainly used in coats and bags, and prints, evocative of candid landscapes. Plaids and jewel-like floral embroidery decorate the most sophisticated evening looks.
And as a key piece of this Chanel-flavoured universe, the sun hat is the star accessory, bringing a chic touch to the looks of the French maison.
The sun hats are offered in a variety of colours ranging from pale pink to mint green, through grayscale and white, and finishing in black.
As a common element to all of them, in addition to their size, shape and material, there is a jewelled brooch on the front that makes them true collector’s pieces.
Finally, the world of Chanel-branded accessories is completed this season with over-the-knee boots, leather belts, opera gloves, necklaces and berets; accessories with which to achieve a distinguished and sophisticated look to become the true queen of the party.
For those dreamy evenings, black is the protagonist. Satin dresses with plunging necklines, flowing skirts, blouses and trousers with a suggestive lingerie touch, leather jumpsuits with a utilitarian cut, pieces embroidered with rhinestones…
All impregnated with the exclusive Chanel touch that, as always, does not disappoint.
