Jean Paul Gaultier‘s spring-summer 2026 collection
Next spring-summer, Jean Paul Gaultier invites us to immerse ourselves in a spirit that seeks the freedom to be, to exaggerate, to laugh and to dazzle without asking permission. A true celebration in which Gaultier invites us to enjoy ourselves.
Jean Paul Gaultier has gone all out for his spring-summer 2026 collection, which arrives like a carnival.
A carnival where freedom is written in capital letters and provokes an explosion of cheeky humour around a body that is wrapped in delightful contradictions.
Although Gaultier is no longer at the helm, his legacy resonates in every pattern, every stitch, every shape; everything is a celebration of identity, playfulness and that mischievous elegance that made the fashion house an icon.
The collection makes constant nods to the spirit of the house through reinvented sailors, this time with stripes that seem to melt under the sun, winding around torsos and hips as if they had a life of their own. The fabrics, light and satiny, seem destined to move before they walk.
The brand’s new collection is full of humour and sensuality and, above all, pays clear homage to Gaultier’s most playful side.
The colour palette vibrates between ocean blues, latex reds, salmon pinks and a white so pure it seems made to be broken.
The silhouettes vary between sculptural and flexible: unstructured corsets, reinterpreted as rigid petals that open up over flowing garments; suits that reveal more than they conceal; dresses that alternate transparency and structure as if they were choreographies of desire.
Small accessories are displayed as true acts of rebellion. Iconic cones reappear in miniature, now transformed into brooches, shoulder pads or unexpected details on footwear.
Futuristic cartridge belts are mixed with traditional lace. Jewellery that looks like toys, toys that look like jewellery. Anything is possible in this universe where humour becomes haute couture.
Jean Paul Gaultier‘s collection also invites us to reflect on the different roles we can play in life: sailors, urban mermaids, glamorous pirates…
Gaultier invites us to bring a theatrical touch to each garment, but never in a pretentious way. The designer has always understood that fashion is a stage, but also a personal truth.
