The Complex Extravagance of Rahul Mishra.
Rahul Mishra has done it again. Once more, the Indian designer has managed to perfectly combine that social conscience that characterises him with an overflowing feeling of opulence and exuberance with which women will again demonstrate their elegance.
If there is anyone who can’t seem to contain his passion for creation, it is Rahul Mishra, who, once again, makes women the center of attention.
And he does it through a collection in which, as we have become accustomed to, he again gives his place to all those artisans without whom the designer could not have created a fashion house that, if characterised and differentiated by anything, it is by its strong social conscience.
In his new collection “We, the People,” this social conscience seems to want to show itself with even more vehemence.
With this in mind, Mishra hides in the embroidery of some of his dresses tiny figures of artisans, a nice way to pay tribute to the exceptional work of all those who have been walking beside him and giving shape to truly amazing collections for years.
The haute couture collection presented by the designer of Indian origin for the upcoming fall winter season is full of pieces in which extravagance and complexity are combined to perfection.
The result? Incredible creations with which women will be able to show the world their power and sovereignty.
They feature exaggerated volumes that wrap around the female figure, giving it grandeur, and at the same time contrast with short bustier-type dresses or tops that, when placed above the abdomen, seek to create slender shapes.
Rahul Mishra’s combinations are wrapped in a stark simplicity that nevertheless exudes a certain exuberance through the uninterrupted sparkle of sequins.
Masterfully placed, these sequins cover the surface of garments in which silhouettes breathe freedom and extravagance in equal measure.
