Neomania #51. France is a trending topic
The Olympic Games in France are a trending topic. And we continue to admire great athletes: now the Paralympic Games follow.
We put the spotlight on artists from this great country, leader in European culture.
In Architecture, we explore France’s largest cultural project abroad. Jean Nouvel is the creator of two impressive museums: Qatar National Museum and Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island (United Arab Emirates), has an agreement with France until 2037.
Nouvel, the leading architect in the Middle East, has become an expert in cultural projects such as museums, auditoriums, theatres and art foundations.
In Paris, he is the author of iconic cultural centres: Musée du Quay Branly, Fondation Cartier, Institut du Monde Arab…
He also created the DR Koncerthuset Auditorium in Copenhagen and the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, USA.
Also in Paris, we have the exhibition of the sculptor, Brancusi, poet of marble. Centre Pompidou recreates his studio with meticulous fidelity, transporting us to the heart of his creative process.
Faithful to his Romanian roots, Brancusi crafted sculptures that transcend time and space. In Montparnasse, he forged links with brilliant spirits like Rodin, Modigliani, Léger, Picasso and Duchamp.
Brancusi’s studio became a sanctuary of creativity, where form and essence merge, in a perpetual dance of light and shadow.
From our series “Isms” (artistic styles), we present Les Nabis, a post-impressionist movement in Paris.
They were young students: Bonnard, Vuillard, Sérusier, Denis… members of a semi-secret society with mystical and prophetic tendencies.
In Milan we visit “Renoir – Cezanne” at Palazzo Reale. The exhibition comes from two Parisian museums: L’Orangerie and Musée d’Orsay. Both French painters contemporary in time, are opposites, pure “yin-yang”.
In fashion, in the City of Light, we enjoyed discovering the latest trends from Cheney Chan, Franck Sorbier, Natan, Rahul Mishra, Stephane Rolland and Tony Ward.
